Seattle, Washington is bordered by Puget Sound on the west and Lake Washington on the east. The city center is around 15 minutes from Redmond. Seattle is known as the “Emerald City” because of its many parks and nearby evergreen forests. Clear days in Seattle reveal gorgeous views of the Olympic mountain range to the west, the Cascade mountain range to the east, and Mount Rainier to the southeast. Lake Washington is nearly 22 miles long and offers many opportunities for recreation.
